Sexy Stephen Lang, Avatar!
Veteran stage and film actor Stephen Lang plays Col. Miles Quaritch in the James Cameron film Avatar. He’s definitely the movie’s sexiest… uh, being. Buff, jacked and HOT. While the rest of the moviegoers were watching blue tree people, I was waiting for more scenes of this muscled antagonist with the cool hair. I’ve seen Stephen Lang in other films and he never looked this good. Did he hit the gym or was his body digitally enhanced? Either way, the man looked yummy!
Stephen Lang has a long list of film and stage credits, most recently Public Enemies, The Men Who Stare At Goats and Avatar. He’s co-artistic director at the Actor’s Studio.
Who’s your favortie Avatar character and why?

I liked the heroine. She was strong, feisty, and dedicated to her people but willing to take a chance on someone like Jake.

I agree with Debra, but I also liked Sigourney Weaver’s character, the scientist. It was great to watch successful, interesting women on the screen. Adele, isn’t it fun that the men were the movie eye candy for a change?

Debra–I thought the heroine was wonderful, too. She really was the perfectly balanced character. Thanks so much for posting.
Marie–You bring up an excellent point. The women in “Avatar” were definitely strong and interesting. And, yes, the eye candy was also strong and interesting–and male. I liked that. Thanks so much for your visit.

Hi Adele
I liked the main lead avatar girl I can’t remember her name. She put the other guy through the ringer. Gotta love a strong confident female.

He was sexy (I think my age has me finding older gentlemen that way), but he was sooooo awful I couldn’t like him. But I loved the hero. As much as anything it was his innocence. And the fact that he was a total unknown and carried that movie was amazing.

Jennifer–Yes, I agree she was awesome! So far, she takes the lead in popularity. Thanks for stopping by!
Nina–I liked the hero, too, very much. Wasn’t his ending great? I did love the antagonist, though. The actor, Stephen Lang, said in an interview he played the role of a man simply doing his job. He didn’t see him as a villain. Thanks so much for visiting!

The heroine and Jake. And the ending was splendid. I couldn’t stand the antagonist, so Stephen Lang did a wonderful job.

Cindy–Yes, the ending was lovely. Perfect. The hero and heroine were wonderful, weren’t they? The antagonist did a great job in his role. And he looked fabulous! Thanks so much for your comments.

I loved the heroine! I’m pretty sure it was Zoe Saldana. She was a perfect balance to Jake. As far as looks though, Stephan Lang is definitely good looking

Savannah– I agree. Zoe was the coolest heroine I’ve seen in a long time. By the responses I received on my blog she was the most popular “Avatar” character. You’re right that she was the perfect mate for Jake.
Big hugs for appreciating my eye for a good-looking man. LOL. He wasn’t the hero, but darn he had nice muscles and cool hair.
Thanks for playing!

Yep, I picked him out, too. So did my mom. But I don’t know that I’ve ever seen him before. 2009 seems to have been my year to discover hot new actors I’d never really noticed: Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper and now him. Good pick, Adele.

Judi–Glad you enjoyed my pick! Thanks for stopping by.

OMG I love you for writing this! Finally someone who agrees with me.
I’ll summarize why I find Quaritch hot:
- his badass manners
- the manly scars
- the way he holds his breath
- the huge muscles…

Annie–I’m so glad you discovered my blog. And I agree with you 100% about Quaritch. Who’da thought manly scars could be sexy? Loved his muscles, his phenomenally cool hair, and his bad ass dedication. Great character! He made the movie for me.
Thanks for visiting and posting.
