CLASSIC HUNKS: Brad Pitt
William Bradley Pitt was born in 1963 in Oklahoma and raised in Missouri by his parents, Bill and Jane. He has a brother and a sister. Brad went to Kickapoo High School. (Yes, that was really the name!)
Brad majored in journalism in college and then dropped out two credits short of earning his degree to move to California to pursue acting. While in college he posed for the campus calendar and appeared in fraternity plays.
When Brad moved to Los Angeles he chauffered strippers to and from their jobs, delivered refrigerators, and dressed as a giant chicken at El Pollo Loco to earn a living. He didn’t work menial jobs for long, though. Within seven months he found an agent and landed his first television role.
Brad’s break-out film was “Thelma and Louise” starring Gena Davis and Susan Sarandon. He played the part of sexy grifter, J.D.
People magazine named Brad Pitt “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1994 and 2000. The magazine also named him one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world.
A scene from the movie “Troy.” Ironically, Brad tore his Achilles heel while playing the part of Achilles in the film.
Active in many charities, Brad has been at the forefront of efforts to rebuild New Orleans.
Brad Pitt is my favorite celebrity hunk of all time. I’ve had a crush on him for almost twenty years. Do you agree he’s a fabulous, gorgeous CLASSIC HUNK to kick off the New Year?

I will agree he was georgeous but lately not so much . That ratty looking goatee he has now and the let myself go-ness about him . What happen Brad?
January 14th, 2010 at 3:35 pm
I’ll agree he has a certain appeal, though for some reason, he just doesn’t do it for me. (Call me crazy, I know.) But my favorite Brad Pitt story is the time I watched the NCAA March Madness tournament and Bradley University played the University of Pittsburgh. The box score read:
BRAD
PITT
Still, I’ll agree, he’s an excellent choice for starting off 2010!!

Jennifer–I’m not keen on his goatee, either. It’s probably part of his look for a new role. Throughout his career he’s had different hairstyles and haircolors to match his characters. Full beard, black hair, pale blond, buzzed hair, long blond hair. All were looks associated with a film. Thanks for stopping by and posting!
Carla–Great to see you again! That’s a great story about the NCAA scoreboard. Thanks for sharing. Glad you stopped by.

He was good until he started hanging with Angie - has let himself grunge down too much. Though, I do love him in the Oceans 11, 12, 13 movies.
And, funny, I don’t mind Johnny Depp grungy at all, but Brad? He needs to keep his clean, Robert Redford looks for me. Guess we won’t be fighting over him, huh Adele? LOL

Judi–Actually, I have to agree with you. If you noticed, I didn’t post any pictures of him since he’s gone grunge. I read once in an interview that he got tired of people judging him solely on his looks. Guess he’s enjoying not having to be handsome all the time. BUT–that’s what millions of women and I loved about him!!!

I agree he is really HOT.
January 14th, 2010 at 4:39 pm
I’m not at all surprised he didn’t have to wear that damn chicken suit very long. Every time Legends of the Fall is on, I HAVE TO WATCH. Yum. Nope, don’t like the grunge thing he has going on these days, though. I admire him for all the good things he’d doing but someone needs to hand the man a razor.
January 14th, 2010 at 5:19 pm
Amber–He’s my favorite hottie. Nobody has ever done it for me like Brad.
Glad you agree he’s hot. Thanks for your visit!
Regina–OMG “Legends of The Fall” is one of my favorite movies of all time. Brad Pitt was heart-stopping in that film. (I agree the man needs a razor today, but maybe the goatee is for a new role. Let’s hope.) Thanks for stopping by!

I love this man and have forever. I have to agree that he’s let himself go from time to time and I’m not to thrilled with him having any facial hair, but no matter what he still looks good. My most favorite look for him was when he was in Interview with a Vampire and Legends of the Fall. I guess it’s just the long hair and that gorgeous smile that I love the most.
January 14th, 2010 at 5:29 pm
I have to say he’s always been my #1 hot Hollywood hunk. Thanks for making my day, Adele!
January 14th, 2010 at 5:33 pm
Oh Dani, yes, yes! My sentiments exactly. That smile, his long hair (especially when it’s blond) just knocks me out. And wasn’t he breathtaking in “Seven Years in Tibet?” I loved him in that film and loved the movie. Thanks for visiting and posting!
Marie–You’re clearly a woman of taste and distinction. LOL. Thanks!

Who could forget those abs in Thelma and Louise. That was the best scene ever. I am not crazy about the way he’s been looking the last couple months growing that grey goatee. But under all that he is a great looking man.

Oh, Hell yeah!

Jennifer–You are so right about everything. He looked great in “Thelma and Louise.” Today he needs a shave. Thanks for visiting and posting.
Ash–Whoo Rah! He’s my fantasy hero. Thanks for stopping by.

The pictures are great. I have to agree with the others that Pitt doesn’t look so good anymore. Maybe it’s the goatee, the grunge, Angie, or all those kids. He was at his peak in “Thelma and Louise.”

Thanks for posting these heart-stoppers, Adele!
I’ll admit, I’m not a fan of his “grunge” look. However, he was recently spectacular in Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Ocean’s Thirteen. His hotness stands the test of time, only I prefer most men with more hair on their head than on their face.
January 16th, 2010 at 12:59 am
Carolyn–I could have looked at pictures of Brad all day. There were so many good ones. I think he looked gorgeous in that motorcycle scene in the Benjamin Button movie. Heart stopping. Thanks for coming by!
J. Rose–It’s been unanimous that women on this blog dislike Brad’s grunge look. Maybe his publicist will read this column and ask him to shave. We can hope, right?
Glad you enjoyed your visit. Thanks for stopping by.

Well I have to agree he is the classic HUNK!!!!! He is always nice to look at and seems to be a nice guy. Its nice to see a man in his 40s as the hunk. Its not fun to see the young 20 something all the time(even though they are hot). I want a MAN to look at not a YOUNG man.

Beach Love–You are a genius! You figured out the purpose behind my regular CLASSIC HUNKS column, featuring sexy celebs over the age of 40. I, too, wanted to appreciate men, not boys, when I started the column. CLASSIC HUNKS has been a reader favorite. Thanks so much for visiting! Stop by again soon.

Hi have to agree with Judi, Johnny Depp can get away with the grunge look but I prefer Brad w/o the goatee. Still he’s hot and I enjoy his movies.
January 18th, 2010 at 10:59 pm
Kathy–Yes, Brad looks best without the goatee. I like him clean-shaven and blonde. Maybe we expect more from him because he is so handsome. Thanks for stopping by!
(P.S. See Johnny Depp CLASSIC HUNK in my October column.)
