I think I know how Dorothy felt when she toppled into another world from Kansas. 

Closing the door to my private office where I write erotic romance novels and stepping into the frenzy of the 2008 Romantic Times Booklovers Convention was like tumbling into Oz. One day I was Adele Dubois, author, alone at work at my desk. The next I was Adele Dubois, author, socializing with other erotic romance novelists inside a hotel conference area overflowing with gorgeous Ellora’s Cave cover models. Since I create fantasies for a living, you’d think I’d be unflustered in a room filled with handsome hunks; some of whom are Chippendales dancers. Not so. I giggled. I blushed. Oz is fun!

I need to get out more.

I returned home from the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention in Pittsburgh, PA, where I promoted my new release INTIMATE ART and my February release DREAM TRAVELER, to find a pleasant surprise. The Romance Studio gave my debut novel MOTORCYCLE HEAT a Four Hearts review while I was at the convention. The reviewer said she didn’t ordinarily read contemporary novels, which made the great review extra special.

“Motorcycle Heat was a delightful, fun, and an entertaining story. It was fast paced and very sexy. I have to say the main characters, Lisa and Antonio, are loveable and I loved the interaction between them and their growing attraction. Secondary characters added to the story and entertainment value. The dialogue flowed well and was very amusing in places. I’ve not read any books by Adele Dubois before and while I don’t often read contemporary novels, I was intrigued by the synopsis and wasn’t disappointed. It was a book that brightened a chilly, dreary day. I’ll be on the look out for more of Adele’s work.”

Judi Fennell meets her hero, Fabio! Fabio was assigned a room three doors down from mine. I called Judi with a Fabio alert as soon as I saw him. Judi is a huge fan. Judi is an American Title III finalist and Gather Romance Contest finalist. We all know that Fabio is the most famous Romance novel cover model of all time. He was gracious enough to pose with Judi despite the midnight hour and his long flight to the Pittsburgh Hilton for the Cover Model Reunion event.

The 2008 Romantic Times Booklovers Convention is in full swing and we are having a blast! Ellora’s Cave Publishing has treated us authors like royalty with parties and gifts, including a red carpet walk into the Hollywood Fantasy Party, our book covers projected on overhead screens, and on-stage introductions as each author was escorted by an Ellora’s Cave Cover Model. We also had our own star on ”Hollywood Boulevard.” How cool is that?

NEW RELEASE today INTIMATE ART. It’s thrilling to have a new release during the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention!

I thought I’d already posted the sexiest, most erotic Sagi Kalev videos ever on this blog, until I found his Love Me Body and Soul photo collage. Within five years, scientists in Boston plan to market resveratrol to treat several major diseases of aging; diabetes among them. Without disease, the body can live indefinitely.

The television special also revealed there are 84,000 people in the United States who are 100 years old or older–and that number is climbing. Children born today have a possible life expectancy of 150 years as science cures disease and technology uses stem cells to grow new organs or repair joints that need replacement. Technologically-restored youth is a looming reality.

Maybe Olympus Elixir’s secret youth-restoring property in DREAM TRAVELER was resveratrol.
