Perfect alpha male hero?
Tuesday, February 20th, 2007Who is the perfect alpha male hero? I can’t think of a better one today than Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in the adrenaline pumping Fox Network TV show “24.” Not only is Jack a super hero in the flesh, virtually indestructible, he’s a brilliant strategist and cool under pressure. He’s handsome and ruthless, but also has the equal ability to love deeply. Watching “24″ each week I can’t help but wish I’d invented Jack Bauer as a character in one of my manuscripts. (Can you tell I also have a teensy crush on sexy Kiefer Sutherland?)
And what about the new seasons of Survivor and The Amazing Race? Not even my own mother could make me miss these shows. Survivor is my all-time favorite reality show and I never miss an episode, even when my newest manuscript (or mom) is calling… This season on The Amazing Race I’m cheering again for Rob and Amber. Love them or hate them, those two are unsurpassed competitors. I am a huge fan. Go Rob and Amber!
Other shows I recommend–Medium, Numbers, CSI, Law and Order CI, The Closer. To round things out I watch Judge Judy regularly. As a Libra, my need for justice is strong!
Second string lineup that I enjoy when not in the middle of writing: American Idol, The Unit, The Apprentice, Boston Legal.
What do you think of my choices? You already know I like football. I’m a girlie girl hooked on adrenaline. What else can I say?
