Say Adele Dubois, please!

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

My name is Adele Dubois. Some people have trouble with the pronunciation.  (Pronounced ADEL, with the emphasis on the D in the second syllable, and DO-BWA). Both names are French in origin. Think Allison Dubois (starring Patricia Arquette) on the television show “Medium” or, God forbid, the character Stella Dubois in the play “A Streetcar Named Desire” (Stella! Stella-a-a-a!). Dubois is actually quite easy to say and is rather melodious, I think. Don’t you?

Rites of Romance Reviews invited the Authors of Erotic Romance (AOER) for a chat on their Yahoo loop Sunday, 1/21. I’m a member of AOER at www.authorsoferoticromance.com/ We’re a team of debut authors dedicated to carving our path to new and avid erotic romance readers. Not an easy task, but we’re a determined bunch, banded together to claim our niche on the Web.

MOTORCYCLE HEAT promotions seem to be going well so far.  Hear the “buzz” yet? Please let me know!

READY TO VROOM!

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

I love January 2nd. While others complain of post-holiday blues, I’m eager to shove the Christmas decorations back into the attic and embrace the new year. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy  the holiday season as much as anyone, but when it’s over I feel like a huge cosmic PAUSE button has been released so that life can resume.  From Thanksgiving to the New Year our calendars revolve around pine trees, decorating, shopping, wrapping, card sending, baking, socializing, and watching for snow. Once January 2nd rolls around we can shake off the holiday glitter and get back to the business of our everyday lives. And I like my life as an author! There are literary agents to pitch, editors to please, and more books to write. Hello 2007! I’m off to promote my debut novel, MOTORCYCLE HEAT, coming in May from Loose Id. (Pronounced Lucid). No more naps by the tree, eggnog or cookies. It’s time to VROOM!
